North Bondi Villa

A North Bondi home, heavily influenced by the clients’ Italian & French heritage, brings to life a vibrant family oasis. Ensconced in Mediterranean tradition the use of robust materials results in a home founded in durability and liveability. The semi-detached dwelling was reimagined to allow for separation between a self-contained suite at the front of the house for visiting overseas relatives and a generous open plan living space to the rear of the home on the same level. The existing first floor, within the roof space, was entirely rebuilt to introduce high ceilings and spacious bedrooms. The use of natural materials and textures in lieu of colour creates a symbiotic relationship between the coastal charm of its North Bondi location and the rich Mediterranean influences. Tones and textures of microcement and polished concrete are offset by timber & brass elements and hues of green, soaking up natural light and creating a sense of calm throughout.
